    BTS, to be fair to others out there, please be aware that even in the world of abuse survivors, not everyone agrees with rabbi rosenberg's views on the matter.

    as an abuse survivor, let me make it publicly known that after a bit of personal investigation into his views (i'll admit, not that much. but enough for me personally) i DO NOT agree with his assesment of the situation.

    there are many rabbanim who ARE quite helpful and accommodating, and even encourage reporting of sex abuse. although it is known that there are a few who are in denial, i personally have not met with even one who is. of the rabbanim i have met (and one of these has funded my therapy when my parents were lacking), two were from monsey, one very chassidish, one in israel, and one a prominent rav in lakewood. i know friends who have met with rabbanim from all over the tri-state area and have not received a single negative response.

    so while i agree that our community has work to do, and that MANY (if not most) children are not believed, please be aware that there are plenty of rabbanim who know the situation and do NOT approve of the attitude to cover it up.

    LS, thank you for this input, I've made a link to your comment as a disclaimer.
    Although I am frum for couple of years and live in Jewish Flatbush I am not very familiar with any surrounding communities so it's very hard for me to judge. I had some thoughts after watching these videos but decided not to add anything to not mix my personal views with anyone's else.
